taking clomid and herbal vitamins

im going to start my first cycle of clomid this friday. im trying to do anything i can to increase my chances of getting pregnant. so i was looking on line and found some herbal supplements that can help promote ovulation. i bought some vitamins that contain wild yam, chaste berry, and siberian ginseng. i was going to take them along with the clomid. my question is, is it ok to take herbal vitamins and clomid together?
i have decided not to risk it so im just going to take clomid and NO herbal stuff. i dont want to do anything to lower my chances of concieving. but i have however started prenatal vitamins. i hear its very important in the development of a child

Ginseng Feedback: The bigger issue here is that if you get side effects, you’ll never know if they’re from the Clomid or from the herbal stuff. I’d say do one or the other this first month (in fact, I’d say just do the Clomid and see how that goes) because you don’t want other stuff mucking up the new pattern that your Clomid will instigate. remember too that Clomid delays ovulation, on average by 4 days, and in turn that would delay your AF or testing date. Just FYI!
Ginseng Feedback: I did and ended up pregnant 5 years ago with my awesome daughter. I have tried twice since then and did not get pregnant. I have now had to have a hysterectomy but I am praying you get pregnant. God Bless and Baby Dust to You!
Ginseng Feedback: As a suggestion be on clomid only as some times herbal vitamins may have some side effects and clomid also sometimes has side effects.
Ginseng Feedback: I would say to check with your doctor to make sure it’s safe. They’ll probably tell you to just take the Clomid for now to see if it works and to make sure that nothing is interfereing with how it performs in your body. Plus you don’t know how long the herbs stay in your body, or how it will effect a pregnancy
If you are trying Clomid and timed intercourse, try using this sperm safe personal lubricant called Pre-Seed. If you go to they will tell you locations local to you where you can buy it so you don’t have to wait for the delivery or pay for shipping. Be sure to read the instructions. Seems self explanitory, I know, but they give good pointers.
I had an hsg, used clomid, and preseed and got pregnant in 2 cycles.

I’d say if you want to take a vitamin, start a prenatal. And don’t forget to lay on your back for 30 min. after intercourse with a pillow under your hips!

Hi fellow mommawannabe LOL I have taken clomid and it didn’t work on the dosage that I was given but u will be different I hope and pray that u get prego one day soon. I am currently apart of a clinical trial that is for women with PCOS and want to get prego we and in a blind trial I have done all my reseach on the meds and we taking either clomid or lertrozole and I am in first cycle I am praying for u and do the same for me!!! But I am taking prenatal vitamins because the are safe for me and for the baby so just try to go with the prenatal vitamins and talk to your doctor. God Bless and Baby dust for u!!!
