How effective is Ginseng, in applying to cycling performance?

I’ve been using the following Chinese herbs.
1.Panax Ginseng Root Extract (Panax Ginseng) 400.00 mg
2.American Ginseng Root Extract ( Panax quinquefolium) 200.00 mg
3.Siberian Root Extract (Eleutherococcus senticosus) 100.00 mg
PS: My average speed has improved to 34 km/h. Plus, yesterday, I managed to catch the vortex of Yin’s Camry and kept up with her for about 6 kilometres. Needless to say, she wasn’t driving very fast, only around 45 to 50 km/h.
How To Sell Ginseng

Ginseng Feedback: Hi Kate
I’m not real familiar with this. Though a quick look at the Ginseng family seems to indicate it is useful for treating inflammation, immune function, fatigue, and conditions associated with blood sugars (diabetes). It is interesting that both Chinese and American natives had discovered these treatments ages ago.
I can only suggest that you may have had a mild disorder. Possibly a minor lung infection from riding in miserable conditions. The herbs have helped clean it up. I didn’t find anything that suggests they would be used to improve performance.
This extract should be of interest.
“Eleuthero ginseng is sometimes combined with other adaptogens, like Korean, Chinese or American ginseng, astragalus, or schisandra, to increase its effectiveness. Common uses include support for the immune system, a sexual tonic, and treatment for chronic fatigue”
Ginseng Feedback: Ginseng is good, but only if its something you need. It contains a lot of yang chi and counters dampness. Too much ginseng can set off your chi balance and have too much yang, symptoms include high blood pressure, heartrate, and nosebleed.
I suspect you perhaps have too much yin and dampness in your chi. Since you’ve gotten a good result from the elevated yang chi from the ginseng, I would assume you were off balanced in your chi. I can’t make a proper diagnosis yet, so if you can email me a picture of your tongue, then perhaps I can confirm the diagnosis, and recommend a different herbal formula.
Ginseng Feedback: I used to take almost the exact dosage you list, of each product (I did 200mg of Siberian Root Extract). A good libido boost at that! Perhaps that is why your speed has increased. So you can catch Yin.
I stopped taking them because the benefits were not as significant as the side effects. Dehydration. Taking them dehydrated me during cycling to the point of fatigue and muscle cramps. If you don’t have those side effects go for it. With your speed increase you may catch that Camry yet.
