Ginseng Feedback: Woodland soil. Lots of organic matter, cool temperature, mildly acidic, moist and well drained.

I’ve read that ginseng can’t tolerate much nitrogen at all.

Ginseng Feedback: here is a fact sheet with info
    how to grow american ginseng

ginseng is a protected species so its a great idea to grow your own, don’t collect it from the wild, that will deplete populations and changes of successfully transplanting wild collected stock are slim, get your starter plant from a reputable nursery.
