Ginseng Feedback: I cooked chinese food for 15 years. I am a white guy trained by an old Chinese. Sounds like a kungfu movie, huh? But only cooking. Key things are super hot wok, fresh cut veggies. Oyster sauce, duck sauce(sometimes called plum sauce), chile sauce, (you notice sauce is repeated), veggie oil and some muscles to cook this stuff. you gotta cook fast and hot!

Ginseng Feedback: 1. Yes. In south China where rice is grown, the staple diet is rice, in the north the staple is noodle and buns made from wheat. The south eastern cuisine is milder because of warmer climate. In other parts a lot of food is hot and spicy. In west China they have muslim cuisine.

    2. The Chinese do have different foods made specifically for individual festivals or for worshipping. E.g. they have new year cakes, moon cakes for mid-autumn, and special type of wedding cakes given out before a bride’s wedding.

    3. Chinese cooking uses a lot of ginger, green onion, garlic, then there is anise, coriander, fermented black beans…..

    4. Wok for cooking, chopsticks for eating. Many Chinese people still like to use clay pottery for slow cooking.
