Herbs? Vitamins? Acupuncture? (Uterine lining)?

Can you answer IDEKA’s question about Ginseng?:

I am desperately TTC. I’m 38 and my husband is 42. We had an ectopic pg last January. We’ve been trying for 2 years. It’s incredibly upsetting and life just doesn’t seem “normal” because of this dying need to want to be parents. My fertility checks out okay…but there is the issue of low sperm count. The one thing I’m recently concerned about is the fact that I have periods for only 3-4 days and I’m never very heavy. My QUESTION is this: what can I do to enhance a thick uterine lining??? I’ll do ANYTHING! Thank you so much to anyone who might be able to help. I really appreciate it.

Ginseng Feedback: Try to look into acupuncture and also look into taking Vitex. As long as your luteal phase is over 10 days than you should be okay since your period does last 3-4 days and not just like a day or two. Goodluck!

Ginseng Feedback: I hate to answer a question with a question, but if sperm count is an issue and your ob/gyn has not been worried about your uterine lining, then why are you worried about it?

3-4 day menses is not abnormal. Nor is a regular flow. Keep in mind that in Chinese medicine a heavy flow could be indicative of a lack of balance in the menstrual cycle.

I realize the desire to conceive and the frustration in not achieving your goal is a huge stressor. However, I would look to your husband for receiving acupuncture in an effort to raise the sperm count, and treatment for you as secondary.

    Good Luck.

Acupuncture helped me a lot in relaxation. It takes away some of my muscle cramps due to physical stress.

Acupuncture is really a good alternative medicine technique for common ailments such as allergies, minor headaches and pains. I have been practicing acupuncture for 4 years now.
