Best 10 spices/herbs to have in a kitchen?

Can you answer Mommabear’s question about Ginseng?:

I’m putting together a wedding shower gift, and I wanted to add a “kitchen starter”. The couple don’t have any kitchen items yet. They typically eat standard North American dishes with some Italian and North American Chinese dishes.
What would be the top 10 spices/herbs (besides salt and pepper) that you would add to a gift basket?
Which herbs/spices should no basic kitchen be without?

Ginseng Feedback: 1. Seasoned salt (use the Costco brand, it has a lot less sodium and better flavor)
    2. Ground Ginger
    3.Dried Parsley
    4.Granulated garlic with parsley
    5.Onion Powder
    6.Celery Salt
7.Seasoned pepper (like seasoned salt but with pepper lol)
    8.Dried Chives
    9.Cinnamon
    10.Dried Onion and Garlic flakes
    11. Dry mustard powder

Also I like to keep beef and chicken bullion cubes or powder. You can do a low sodium version as well.

You could also add in some extra virgin olive oil and a nice balsamic vinegar, and a white balsamic as well. Some nice mustard like dijon or a spicy brown might help round it out.
